There has been a lot of talk regarding commercial director Gopichand Malineni joining hands with Tamil superstar Vijay. As we know, Malineni scored a hit this Pongal season with ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. His presentation of Balayya was loved by everyone even though the story was age-old and proceedings were predictable.
On the other hand, Vijay has worked with Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally recently for ‘Varisu’ which was released during the same time and the movie turned out to be a huge hit in Tamil Nadu. Sources say that the ‘Krack’ director met with Vijay recently and the latter loved the narration given by the Telugu filmmaker. If things go as planned, Mythri Movie Makers will be bankrolling this project.
Nothing has been confirmed yet and these are just rumours for now. But Gopichand has started following Thalapathy Vijay on Instagram recently and this added fuel to the existing strong rumours. Many claim that it is only a matter of time before the official announcement will be given by the team.
Currently, Vijay is working on ‘Leo’ which is being directed by crazy director Lokesh Kanagaraj. This gangster drama has Trisha playing the female lead while Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer. Lalith Kumar is the producer of this movie. Manoj Paramahamsa is the director of photography while the action is going to be composed by Anbariv. Philmon Raj is the editor while Sathees Kumar is the art director. Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy are the dialogue writers. The primary cast of this movie includes Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Arjun and Mansoor Ali Khan.
