In a shocking turn of events, a girl was attacked by an unidentified attacker in broad daylight resulting in the victim succumbing to the injuries she sustained in the attack where she was stabbed by a knife.
The barbaric incident that took place in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh had created an uproar. After the attack, she was rushed to the nearby hospital but in vain. She couldn’t make it to life.
As per the media reports, the attacker whose identity is yet to be known had a few words with the victim and offered her a lift. The girl refused to go with him on the bike and the duo had an argument.
Things escalated quickly when the attacker took out a knife and brutally stabbed the girl. This resulted in the victim sustaining six injuries. It was too late when the passers-by rushed her to the medical facility.
To make the incident even more heart-wrenching, the incident happened on Sunday, when the entire country is celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence day.

The victim who breathed her last in the incident is a student who is pursuing her third-year engineering course. We have lost a future engineer in the shocking incident.
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister M. Sucharita, who was informed about the incident, had reached the state-run hospital. Condemning the attack, the Home Minister assured that the accused will be nabbed soon.
The Guntur Police had swung into action and the search to arrest the accused is on. Taking a lead from the clues gathered by the clues team that reached the spot, the police personnel are digging deeper into the matter.
While announcing an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the victim, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy issued directives to the Police to take strict action against the accused and impose strict punishment for his heinous crime.
