A festival-like situation prevailed in the residence of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, former Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, as she delivered a healthy baby boy on Thursday. Akhila Priya’s husband Bhargav Ram announced the happy news. As per the information, both mother and child are healthy.
Taking to Facebook, Bhargava Ram Naidu said, they were blessed with a baby boy and the baby was born on the birth anniversary of Shobha Nagi Reddy. After he made the posts, everyone wished the couple for welcoming a new family member that too on a special date like this.
Bhuma Akhila Priya hails from a political family which is affluent in state politics. Her parents Bhuma Nagi Reddy, and Shobha Nagi Reddy are big names in the political arena. Her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy had started his political career by winning as an MLA and later went on to become a Lok Sabha member from the Nandyal Lok Sabha Constituency. He breathed his last on 12 March 2017 at his residence due to a heart attack.
Akhila Priya’s mother Shobha Nagi Reddy head ventured into politics in 1996 and emerged victorious from the Allagadda Assembly constituency for four consecutive terms. Due to political differences, Shobha Nagi Reddy had left the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) and joined the Praja Rajyam Party floated by Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Bhuma Akhila Priya entered politics after her mother died in a road accident. She contested the Allagadda Assembly elections and won the elections on the YSRCP seat. However, she left the party and joined the TDP. Akhila Priya served as the Tourism Minister in the previous TDP regime.
But luck did not favor her in the 2019 general elections in Andhra Pradesh and she lost the elections from the Allagadda constituency that was previously represented by her mother.
Earlier Akhila Priya was in the news for all the wrong reasons as she was arrested on the grounds of kidnapping allegations.
Akhila Priya tied the knot with Bhargava Ram Naidu when her mother was alive. Earlier in June this year, she announced the news of her pregnancy on Twitter. Today the couple was blessed with a healthy baby boy.
