Bowenpally police have registered a cheating case against former AP minister Bhuma Akhila Priya’s husband Bhargav Ram, for submitting a fake Covid-19 certificate to mislead the court and police investigation.
As per reports, he did this to avoid the Test Identification Parade (TIP), at Bowenpally police station on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
Along with Bhargav Ram, Akhila Priya’s brother Bhuma Jagath Vikhyath Reddy and three others were also booked in the case for helping the accused in procuring the fake certificate.
According to Inspector Ravikumar, Bhargav Ram was scheduled to appear in court at 10 am for TIP. But instead of attending, he sent a fake certificate through WhatsApp at 8.30 am on the same day said that he tested positive for Covid-19.
Police, who enquired this, found that Jagath Vikhyath Reddy and others created a fake certificate, and the cops registered a case against Bhargav Ram, Vikhyath Reddy, Vinay, Sridevi and Ratnakar.
Bhargav Ram and others were held for kidnapping a former badminton player Praveen Rao and his brothers at Bowenpally in January 2021.
