The election season is Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a lot of film actors and those belonging to the industry trying their hand at politics in the state. Adding to this list of celebrities is Sai Sanjana. She played a cameo in the move Nene Raju Nene Mantri and was a contestant in the second season of Bigg Boss. Now she is experimenting her stint at politics.
She has enrolled herself as an independent candidate contesting from Nuzvid constituency. She hails from Krishnavaram village in Agiripally mandal which falls under Nuzvid constituency and her actual name is Anne Vanaja.
She won the miss Hyderabad title in 2016. After she moved to Hyderabad, she joined the Jana Jagruthi party in the city and began her political journey. According to sources, she tried to contest from Nuzvid constituency initially as a candidate from the Congress party and expected a ticket. However, after not receiving it, she decided to contest as an independent.
Interestingly, Sanjana also has a political base within her family. She is a close relative of former MLC and minister Paladugu Venkata Rao. Looks like Democracy is at its best in Andhra Pradesh as several unexpected candidates have filed their nominations to contest against political bigwigs.
