Creative director Sukumar is beyond the imagination of the audience. After making ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2’ with Bunny, he decided to surprise the people by making a rustic rural drama for their hattrick film. Many expected the movie to have a powerful title but he chose to name their film ‘Pushpa’. Allu Arjun’s look as Pushpa in the first part stunned everyone. The star director dared to showcase a stylish star in the most deglamorized fashion. Despite all the mixed reactions, he believed in his instincts.
The movie was a phenomenal success and ‘Pushpa’ became a household name. The second part is in the making and the glimpse was released a while back. Sukumar designed it in such a way that everyone was keen on finding where Pushpa was and he was showcased at the end in a powerful manner. Considering the fact that Allu Arjun is a pan-Indian star, one would expect Sukumar to release a heroic poster that shows the star hero in full style and charisma.
Instead, he went for a unique poster where Allu Arjun is dressed as a goddess. It is quite common for men to dress up as local gods during festivals like Dasara, Bonalu and other local temple rituals. But it is amazing to see Allu Arjun donning this look without any hesitation and one can expect Sukumar to write a brilliant scene around this getup. With garlands and lemons around his neck, Allu Arjun pulled off this look very convincingly and both the director and actor should be commended for doing something out of the box.
The makers wished their hero and said, “If his RISE was imperious, his RULE will be epic.” This definitely raises the expectations on this movie to a whole new level. As we know, Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine in this flick while Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are bankrolling this project. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Fahadh Fasil will be seen as the antagonist while Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Suneel, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others play key roles. Miroslaw Kuba Brozek is the cinematographer while Karthika Srinivas is the editor.
