The Bharatiya Janata Party is said to focusing on the Dharani portal and its functioning in a very big way. The party sources said that state president Bandi Sanjay has convened a committee comprising experts on revenue matters to study the lacunae in the Dharani portal.
Dharani portal’s performance has landed the KCR government into problems. There are complaints galore about the way the website is working. Everyday a large number of farmers are flocking to the revenue office with complaints about the entries of their land details. This has become a huge headache for the officials and the complaints of wrong entries and wrong assessment are flooding the offices.
The BjP has decided to focus on the Dharani portal and has asked senior leaders, including MLC Ramachandra Rao, Raja Singh and others to study the performance of the portal. The party wants to take up an agitation on the issue and highlight the failure of the Government. Similarly, party workers have reportedly been sounded out to be prepared for an agitation in the coming days on the issue.
Dharani is a prestigious portal for sanitising and registering land data on a systematic and sound basis. However, despite a pompous inauguration by no less a person than KCR himself, there are problems galore. So the BJP feels that this is a powerful issue to corner the TRS and to garner support from the rural masses.
