Just yesterday, YSRCP National General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy said that the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, would very soon start functioning from Visakhapatnam and that the port city would very soon be made the executive capital without any further delays.
Now, Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has reiterated this sentiment, and his words echoed Vijayasai Reddy’s very closely. He said that the 3 Capitals would soon become a reality and that no one would be able to stop it anymore. He said that the required arrangements for the 3 Capitals were going on at a brisk pace and that there wouldn’t be any hurdles for shifting the capital anymore. He also said that there wouldn’t be any more questions on the shifting of capital this year.
Botsa also said that no one can stop the CM from functioning from wherever he wants to and that the CM would soon start functioning from Visakhapatnam. Botsa also said that the TDP tried to stop the decentralisation of the capital purely out of spite and that no one can object to the shifting of capitals now, given that the bill was passed in the Assembly. However, fact remains that several cases regarding the shifting of the capital, decentralisation and the 3 Capital issue are still pending, and going on in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Shifting the capital without the cases being resolved in the HC would be contempt of court. It is now to be seen what will happen in this regards.
