Buggana Rajendranath Reddy is the finance minister of Andhra Pradesh, and rightfully, any and every financial decision should be taken with his advice and consent. However, this is not the case with the ongoing PRC issue, as Buggana is not to be seen anywhere. In fact, Buggana is staying in Delhi these days, very much removed from the issues in the state.
The state government employees even asked how is it that Buggana is not to be seen anywhere, despite the fact that they have decided to go on a strike even, due to the PRC revisions. After that, Buggana made a brief appearance and spoke to the employees, but only just heard their grievances, not taking any action on it. Later on, a committee has been formed in this regard, but the government, to look into the matter, and while Buggana is a part of it, he’s not being very active.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy seems to be running the whole show, even in the committee, with Perni Nani and Botsa at his side. While Buggana is said to have been in Delhi yesterday, no one even knows where he is today. With Sajjala taking control of everything, the YSRCP seems to be sidetracking Buggana, who also seems to be content with not being at the centre of any issue in the state. Though the government doesn’t seem to have any problem with this, it is now to be seen how the employees will react to all of this, and Buggana’s constant absence.
