The Telugu film industry is currently witnessing a pre-release business competition between two of its biggest stars, Allu Arjun and Prabhas. Both stars are set to release highly anticipated films in the coming months.
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, a sequel to his 2021 blockbuster hit Pushpa, and Prabhas’ Salaar, directed by the same filmmaker behind the KGF series, have already created a massive buzz among fans and industry insiders.
According to trade reports, both films have set new benchmarks in terms of pre-release business and are competing fiercely in every territory. Salaar is expected to generate a pre-release business of 600-700 crores, while Pushpa 2 is also expected to hit the same range, with a pre-release business of almost 700 crores. However, the makers of Pushpa 2 have set their sights on a target of 1000 crores.
Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahad Faasil, while Salaar features Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in an important role. Interestingly, veteran actor Jagapati Babu will be appearing in both films.
Recently, the makers of Pushpa 2 released a glimpse of the film, which was met with a tremendous response from fans. Meanwhile, the makers of Salaar are also rumored to be planning a teaser release for their film, which is expected to further intensify the pre-release business competition between these two superstars.
