Playing the role of mute artiste, Baahubali diva Anushka Shetty will be checking her luck as a solo heroine yet again with upcoming movie Nishabdam. But then, the actress is known for residing in Hyderabad and her absence at the recent date-announcement event of the movie is raising many eyebrows.
Along with project-setter Kona Venkat, director Hemanth and producers of the film have taken part in this press meet, but not the heroine of the movie. Neither Anushka nor Anjali or Shalini Pandey have come forward to the event. Some say that Anushka is not in town and that’s the reason she hasn’t made it.
“Actually Anushka is currently in the USA again, taking a cure for her weight issues. She hasn’t lost much weight despite trying hard and she is currently working on that. It will take her more than 3 weeks to come back. As the film is set for Jan 30th release, she will be available for promotions after Sankranthi” a source said.
Directed by Hemanth Madhukar, Nishabdam features Anushka, Madhavan and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen in the leads.
