The ending of February month and the whole of March are always busy days for youths as schools and colleges enter their final phase. With exams all around, surely that is a dry season for films too, as college-going audiences and families with kids who are writing exams generally stay away from movies.
Now in 2019, the same phase has arrived and the box office is looking gloomy already. Other than two NTR biopics, Mahanayakudu and Lakshmi’s NTR, which are releasing in Feb ending, there are no notable films coming up. While the likes of Kalyan Ram’s 118, Allu Sirish’s ABCD and Prema Katha Chitram 2 are set for March release, they are carrying low buzz at the moment. Niharika’s Suryakantham and Nikhil’s Mudra alias Arjun Suravaram are also aiming at the same phase, but they too lack the hype.
And some strong adult content oriented movies like Mithai and Cheekatigadhilo Chillakkottudu are also aiming at the March release. We have to see which of these films will roar at the box office and make money in this dull period.
Once the summer holidays come into place from April, we have films like Majili, Jersey and Maharshi coming up, which are carrying huge expectations already.
