One of the most heard thing in recent weeks is that few big and small producers are considering their films to come up on OTT platforms. Already released movies have no issues even if their films turn up on Amazon Prime or Netflix, but then, some small to medium budgeted films including Nani’s V, Anushka’s Nishabdam and two other small movies got mind-blowing offers from the streaming apps.
While none of them has taken a final call whether to release the films or not, other day producer’s guild that has met to decide on the release of two others films got the shocker from their heroes. Reports have that Raj Tarun’s upcoming release Orey Bujjiga and anchor Pradeep Machiraju’s 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela have got terrific deals from Amazon Prime. And the producers of those movies also want to release the films on OTT such that they could make bucks immediately in this hour of crisis.
But then, both Raj Tarun and Pradeep are said to have expressed displeasure and haven’t signed the release order, saying that their films are meant for big-screen audiences in the theatre but not for OTTs. Only if these two give clearance, those films might turn up on Amazon Prime or any.
Maybe in this crisis hour, with film theatres not seeing any ray of hope regarding their re-opening for the next two months or so, considering OTT release is a good thing whether that is for Raj Tarun or Nani. Let’s see what happens.
