YSR Congress party MP from Rajampet P Mithun Reddy on Friday went to the extent of saying that the by-elections to Narasapuram parliamentary seat were going to take place shortly as it is going to fall vacant following the disqualification of Raghurama Krishnam Raju.
“The Speaker appeared to be very convinced about our petition. He said he would take action on it soon,” he said.
Mithun Reddy said Raju had not given proper reply to the show-cause notice served on him.
“Jagan has given him a lot of importance in the party. Though there were senior MPs in the party, he made Raju a member in the parliamentary standing committee. He has misused the freedom and value given by the party,” Reddy said.
YSRC parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy said evidences were produced as to how Raghurama Krishnan Raju had abused the party leaders in filthy language.
“He joined hands with the opposition parties and questioned the policies of the government. He has been talking against the party for his political gains,” Sai Reddy said.
Meanwhile, Raju filed a petition in the state high court seeking to stall the attempts of the YSRC to disqualify him from the Lok Sabha membership and suspend him from the party.
He claimed that he had not resorted to any anti-party activities.
