Young actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas has gained good fan following in Telugu film industry. Now he is prepping up to set his foot in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of Prabhas’s 2005 hit ‘Chatrapathi’.
Prabhas rose as an action hero with this Rajamouli’s directorial. However, when Hindi film makers approached Rajamouli, he didn’t show interest to remake it in Hindi. Hence, Tollywood filmmaker, VV Vinayak was counted on to take up the Hindi remake, which will kickstart in early 2021.
Dr Jayantilal Gada, MD & Chairman of Pen Studios, who is producing the venture, said, “Chatrapathi is a great script and we required a southern star to carry it to Bollywood. We saw Bellamkonda as the perfect fit for it.”
Sreenivas shared his joy that making a debut in Hindi industry is like a dream come true. “I’ve always dreamt of acting in Bollywood and reaching out to a wider audience. I want all my fans from the south to be proud of me,” he affirmed.
Bellamkonda added that he is training well to ace the Hindi language and also striving hard to look entirely different in his mannerism and style unlike Prabhas. It is learnt that the makers tweaked the original story a wee bit to strike a chord with the Hindi audience as per the present trend. However, it remains to be seen whether the actor can succeed with his Bollywood debut.
