Sharwanand has delivered back to back Sankranthi hits with Express Raja and Shatamanam Bhavati. Both the films were released against big budget films but went onto become super hits despite the competition.Sharwanand did it for the third time for last Dussehra where his film Mahanubhavudu achieved hit status while Jai Lava Kusa and Spyder ended up as average and flop respectively.
Now, young hero Raj Tarun is hoping to pull off similar feat with Rangula Ratnam, which is releasing against biggies like Agnyaathavaasi and Jai Simha.Produced by Nagarjuna, the film looks like a perfect rom-com with enough to offer for the families and youth. However, pitting it against a massive film like Agnyaathavaasi is a huge gamble.
Family entertainers generally succeed during festive period irrespective of the competition. However, Raj Tarun isn’t a decent crowd puller like Sharwanand.His previous films Kittu and Andhagadu couldn’t make much of an impact.
