Can Shankar Handle The Pressure?

Legendary South Indian director Shankar is a name that needs no introduction. His filmography speaks volumes about his brilliance and the influence he had on the film industry through his stories and usage of visionary technology. He is going through a rough patch at the moment since movies like ‘Snehitudu’, ‘I’ and ‘2.0’ failed to reach the expectations.

He started ‘Indian 2’ before the lockdown but it came to a halt due to various reasons. Shankar had a few issues with the producers and the unfortunate accident which caused the death of a few people on the sets forced the makers to put this film on hold. In the meanwhile, he impressed Ram Charan with a script and started the shooting immediately. They reportedly planned to release the film during the summer of 2023 but the news broke out that the issues with ‘Indian 2’ producers are settled and Shankar will be resuming the shoot of the Kamal Hassan starrer immediately.

Fans of Ram Charan got worried that their film will be pushed back due to this. The rumors started going viral but Shankar decided to clarify about them. He took to Twitter and said, “Hi Everyone, Indian 2 and #RC15 will be shot simultaneously. Ready to shoot the next schedule of #RC15 from first week of September in Hyderabad and Vizag! @DilRajuOfficial @AlwaysRamCharan @SVC_official.” For this, Ram Charan replied, “Waiting to see you soon on our sets Sir.. and very excited to hear Indian 2 will resume soon. All the best!!”

While this news is quite encouraging for the fans, Shankar is already under a lot of pressure to deliver a hit since his last couple of films were not up to his standards. Handling two massive pan-Indian projects at the same time is going to pile up more burden on him. We need to wait and see if he handles the pressure or not.
