Can Tollywood Handle Rush Of Films Post Covid-19?

Covid-19 has become a huge problem for economy around the world. We are staring at a long time problem of economic slowdown due to this Virus outbreak.
It did not just stop the global economy from prospering, it also put breaks on every industry including Movies.

Telugu Film Industry has postponed film releases to help governments to contain Covid-19 spread and Telangana Government could lift the lock down post 31st March if the situation shows a sign of improvement.

Already, V starring Nani and Sudheer Babu, Nishabdam starring Anushka Shetty, Love Story starring Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi and Red starring Ram Pothineni have to decide on their release dates.

They all fixed dates from 25th March to April end. But looking at the situation now, they may try for May or April end rush release dates at a time.

Even May releases like Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor, June, July releases like Rang De, VD’s Liger, Nani’s Tuck Jagadeesh might face problems.

Immediate problem for Chamber of Commerce and Producer’s Union will be have talks with exhibitots, distributors to come up with new plans and agreements to secure theatres.

And they have to encourage people to come to theatres, as well. Seems like tough days ahead for Telugu Film Industry and let’s hope everyone can handle it with compassion.
