Can We Expect TDP-Janasena Alliance?

The general elections in Andhra Pradesh are two years away from now. Though the elections are not near there are many discussions on the possible alliances between the parties for the next polls. All the opposition parties in the state have one common enemy, the ruling YSRCP.

Though Janasena and Bharatiya Janata Party are in alliance, discussions are going on about Janasena and Telugu Desam Party. As both parties are former allies, the possibility of the two parties joining hands again cannot be ruled out.

Adding fuel to the opinion, recently Chandrababu Naidu called Pawan Kalyan and now the former Chief Minister directly met Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. The meeting is said to be a big step in the possible alliance between Janasena and Telugu Desam Party.

Babu and Kalyan met after around five years and the political experts are saying that this could make the process easy for the possible alliance between the two parties. As the elections are two years away from now, it would give the required time for both parties to discuss various things including seat sharing.

It is known that there is a negative image of the ruling YSRCP in the state due to various reasons. If the opposition parties can bank on this and target the ruling party aggressively, the opposition parties can win many seats that need to form the government in the state.
