CBI gives clean chit to all the accused in the Babri Masjid case

The demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya created a lot of unrest between the Hindus and Muslims, back in 1992. The mosque was demolished by Hindus, in an attempt to get the Ram Mandir construction started in the Ram Janma Bhoomi.

A total of 49 members were accused in the demolition of the case, saying that these people have demolished the mosque on immoral grounds. After 28 years of the demolition, the CBI special court has today given a clean chit to all the accused.

Of these 49 members, 17 members have passed away, and the remaining 32 members were requested to attend the court hearing today, However, 5 of them – AK Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharati, Kalyan Singh, Nrutya Gopal Das – couldn’t attend the hearing today.

The CBI special court passed a clear chit to all those who have been accused, stating that there’s no proof or evidence to prove that they are guilty. This comes as a historic judgement, following the historic Ram Janma Bhoomi pooja that took place a few weeks ago, under the precedence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is now under construction, and is expected to be over within the next 2-3 years.
