‘Chandrababu forced me to contest elections’

Former minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu said he had no interest in contesting the elections but TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu had forced him to do so. In the review meeting held in Anakapalli, Ayyanna Patrudu said, “Nine times I have contested and six times, I won. In politics winning and getting defeated are common.”

However Ayyanna Patrudu did not reveal why he did not want to contest elections or he wanted to bid goodbye to politics. He opined that despite TDP government doing many welfare schemes for the people, the voters have opted for change. His next task is to work towards TDP’s success in the next elections.

Ayyanna Patrudu also asked when will CM Jagan will implement the Rs 15,000 cash deposit in each student’s account under ‘Amma Odi’ scheme. However, neither TDP nor its leaders will comment anything about YSRCP’s government for the next six months. If Jagan fails to deliver, people will automatically reject them as well.

The former Narsipatnam MLA also called for a collective effort to fight against the attacks of YSRCP supporters after the FAN party coming into power.
