We know the CID officials probing the alleged land scam in Amaravati had summoned former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and directed him to appear before the CID regional office in Vijayawada.
Along with Naidu, former municipal minister P Narayana also received similar notices in the case. He will also be arriving before the CID office. Besides inside trading, they were also charged under SC, ST (Prevention of) Atrocities Act.
The latest update is Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday has filed a quash petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court challenging the FIR of CID. The High Court would take up the petition on Friday.
As per the CID notice, Naidu has to appear before investigating officer on March 23. In the notice, the former CM was asked not to intervene with the ongoing investigation process either indirectly or directly and not to tamper or dissolve the evidence.
