Telugu Desam Party leader and Leader of the Opposition Chandrababu Naidu will tour his home constituency Kuppam of Chittoor district. Chandrababu will tour the constituency for two days from the 25th of this month.
Chandrababu will visit Kuppam, Santipuram, Gudipalli, and Ramakuppam. Kuppam constituency has been known as Chandrababu’s hometown for decades. From 1989 to the 2019 Assembly elections, Chandrababu has never faced defeat from that constituency.
In the Kuppam constituency, the TDP faced massive defeat in the panchayat elections held on the 17th of this month. In Chandrababu’s own constituency, TDP supporters won in only 14 of the 89 grama panchayats in the constituency.
YCP supporters won in 74 villages as sarpanches. Chandrababu’s tour of Kuppam after the devastating defeat became the talk of the town.
