Senior actress Sudha, who had a close bonding with late Telugu actor Uday Kiran, has made some interesting revelations about his death in her recent interview.
Speaking to a noted media house, Sudha reportedly cited the cancellation of Uday Kiran’s engagement with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter Susmitha as the prime reason for his depression.
“Uday Kiran couldn’t take the pressure of cancellation of engagement to Chiranjeevi’s daughter. He used to come to my house frequently and share his grief with me. I tried to console him and I even thought of adopting him as my son. But, the entire engagement issue had so great impact on him that it haunted him for several years,” she said.
Sadly, the once lover boy of Tollywood committed suicide in 2014. Sudha terming the engagement issue as the major reason behind Uday Kiran’s depression may prompt a few fingers to raise against Megastar. Sudha even revealed that she would have slapped Uday Kiran if she survived from that suicide attempt.
She also said that Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna Akkineni are very close to her and that they supported her when she was not well.
