Of late, many senior actresses who are stuck to doing those character roles of mother and sister in Telugu films are coming out of their comfort zone, thanks to the social media. After Surekha Vani, who has revolutionised Instagram with her glamorous looks and dances, it looks like even Pragathi Mahavadi is going in the same direction.
Other day, Pragathi shared a video, where she slipped into a lungi and a short, and joined hands with her teenager son, to dance for a mass number. For the song from Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming film Master, Pragathi did some crazy moves. Tapping the floor in style and shaking her hands in tempo, she made sure that the mass moves do match to the best of mass steps out there.
Though a Telugu lady from Ongole, Pragathi got settled Chennai and became heroine there back in the 90s. After an unsuccessful career, she got married and took to TV serials and entered Telugu films with Mahesh’s Bobby, but shot to fame couple of years later with Gangotri. The 44-year-old acted in nearly 100 Telugu films till date, and is part of almost every other big star’s film in mother’s role.
