While the film industry is recovering from the damage done by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s GO on cinema ticket prices in theatres has come as a huge shock to Tollywood filmmakers.
Ever since the GO was passed in April, the filmmakers have been lobbying through ministers and MLAs to convince the CM to increase the ticket prices. There is no denying that the Telugu film industry has been terribly worried over the stalemate on cinema ticket prices.
In this context, the bigwigs of Tollywood decided to meet AP CM YS Jagan to discuss their problems and request him to recall such GO’s which affect their income.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who is scheduled to meet with Jagan in the last week of August, today held an important meeting with prominent Telugu film personalities at his residence in Hyderabad.
According to the reports, the meeting was attended by Akkineni Nagarjuna, Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, VV Vinayak, Narayandas Narang, Sunil Narang, UV Vamsi, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Koratala Siva, Bapineedu, Supriya, KS Rama Rao, Gemini Kiran, R Narayana Murthy, C Kalyan, NV Prasad, KL Damodar and others.
During the meeting, the celebrities discussed the problems that need to be taken to CM YS Jagan’s attention. However, it remains to be seen how CM Jagan responds to their problems.
