Megastar Chiranjeevi attended the 50 Years celebrations of Balakrishna in the film industry. He praised Balayya for his contribution to Telugu cinema and spoke highly about him. But the part that left everyone surprised is him admitting that ‘Samarasimha Reddy’ is the main inspiration for making ‘Indra’.
He even threw a challenge to filmmakers by asking them to come up with a story that has both Samarasimha Reddy and Indrasena Reddy characters in it. There were many directors on stage but Chiru took Boyapati Sreenu’s name and asked if he was ready. This is quite interesting as Boyapati is known for his commercial mass masala films.
He scored blockbusters like ‘Simha’, ‘Akhanda’ and ‘Legend’. He has been trying to work with Megastar for a long time. If he had the chance to bring Chiru and Balayya together, Boyapati would not leave the chance. Sources say that Chiranjeevi wanted Boyapati to create a special universe where these two characters meet and create euphoria in theatres. We have seen Lokesh Kanagaraj creating his own universe and bringing every character into it. It looks like Boyapati has a challenge to create a world out of faction characters. It is a wonderful idea but the story should be designed properly in order to facilitate these two legendary actors. But it will be a dream project for many and let us see if Boyapati takes up this challenge or not.
