As it is known to everybody ‘KGF – 2’ is ready to hit the screens on 14th April. The date was announced long back and people are eager to see what Rocking star Yash and Prasanth Neel has to offer us this time.
This is a film that put the Kannada film industry on a national market and the entire country is waiting to see Rocky Bhai back on big screens once again.
On the other hand, Vijay’s ‘Beast’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar is releasing on the same day. Vijay has an unmatchable craze in Tamil and he owns a good market in Kannada and Kerala states too.
While the teaser and trailer are yet to be revealed, the ‘Arabic Kuthu’ song became a huge success all across the country. It generated a lot of buzz on the movie.
Both the films are arriving on the same day and the loss will be huge for ‘KGF – 2’ according to many. As we know, ‘Beast’ is restricted to South India.
The Kannada and Telugu states people will be giving the first preference to ‘KGF – 2’ but the situation is different in Tamil and Kerala. Vijay will completely dominate these two states and it will affect the prospects of a pan-Indian project like ‘KGF – 2’ which is made on a grand budget.
Also, the ‘Jersey’ Hindi remake will be released on the same day which may have some effect on ‘KGF – 2’. The South market is very important for ‘KGF – 2’ and we need to see how clashing with a huge star like Vijay affects its box office prospects.
