While many of the top film critics and celebrity critics like Tammareddy Bharadwaj and others have remained silent, a director of a small film that is not even known to many has fired on Rajamouli’s credibility in questioning an Oscar-winning movie like Parasite. At this juncture, everyone is wondering, is Rajamouli right? or wrong? or a young director who has no fame is trying to get attention by criticising Baahubali maker?
First of all, to criticise someone, one needs to have just logic in hand, that’s it. There is no need, either for Rajamouli or some other filmmaker to make an Oscar winning film to criticise another Oscar winning movie.
While everyone is entitled to an opinion, surely, logic is what that wins the game but not the hate-filled comments. And then, this is not the first time Rajamouli has upset Hollywood films loving audiences of Tollywood with his talks. Maybe that’s his view of English movies, so, nothing to worry about.
At the same time, if any other filmmaker has to criticise Rajamouli’s opinion on Parasite, they have to criticise only that particular aspect, but there will be no point if they talk about the scenes he plagiarized from other movies.
Tell Rajamouli, why Rajamouli is wrong in his assertion about Parasite, or share a viewpoint which might make Rajamouli think about Parasite. But blaming him for something else because he didn’t like Parasite will look like hate-filled comment.
If we blast Rajamouli as a copy filmmaker just because he didn’t like Parasite, then people will question, will these new critics of Rajamouli ever make any Oscar winning film or if they will make at least something like Baahubali in their entire career.
On a concluding note, Rajamouli is neither right nor wrong, but he just shared his opinion. If you like Parasite, still you could go to Amazon Prime Video and watch it, Rajamouli is not stopping you.
