Corona Virus scare has left the film industry in limbo. Whilst the spreading of virus has affected the shooting schedules of ongoing films, it also left the releases of films in dilemma. With Box Office revenues witnessed huge decline and films like Hit, Palasa have under-performed, several Telugu releases are planning to postpone.
While theatres in Kerala are shut and even films in Delhi, Bombay are not doing quite well, several makers are planning to reschedule their releases. Especially, multi-lingual releases have got severe hit.
The latest is that Rana Daggubati’s Aranya (Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi), which was initially planned for April 2nd release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, is now said to be deferred by a couple of weeks. The film is being postponed to April end. Also, talk is that Nani’s V has been postponed to mid April. However, an official announcement regarding the same is awaited.
