Corona outbreak: Is CM Jagan misguiding people?

It was found that 70 new cases in just two days that had been reported in Andhra Pradesh was because of the few people who attended a religious congregation in Delhi. CM YS Jagan addressed the press and requested all the Andhra citizens to not panic and gave courage, saying it’s not a stigma but just another flu causing fever, cough and cold and affects mostly the older people. However, it’s a little severe form of the virus.

“Our Andhra people have recently attended a religious meeting in Delhi and unfortunately have contacted Corona virus. As per our statistics, 1085 people were reported to have attended from Andhra Pradesh. Out of 585 who were tested, 70 cases were confirmed positive, 500 more are yet to be tested and 21 people are yet to be traced out. I request earnestly anyone who contacted or any family member who came in touch with those attendees to voluntarily call 104 for medical check up. it takes 14 days of quarantine and all the facilities are arranged. Once the treatment is done, you can get back to your homes.” Said CM.

He also assured that the medical staff will be available to take care, will provide medicines on daily basis and supervise the patients from time to time. He says, by sharing voluntarily it can contain spread and saves family members’ and neighbours’ lives.

Although assurances were made, it seems that CM Jagan hasn’t understood the severity of the situation inspite of trolls when he suggested paracetamol for corona earlier.

He misinforms by saying the treatment is available and patients will be discharged after 14 days but never mentions anywhere how severe it is and there’s no medicine available to treat. Looks like he is going to land in the soup and welcome many more trolls again with this misguiding speech!
