#Corona: Telangana too shuts down Theatres, Malls, Schools till Mar 31st

In the wake of Corona virus, the Telangana government has decided to shut down all the shopping malls, schools and colleges in the state with immediate effect. The high level committee appointed by CM KCR met today and has made key suggestions to the government and as advisory, banning theatres, institutions is proposed.

However, the intermediate and tenth standard board exams will go on as per schedule and there is no change in it. The government will take a call on other exams and assures to students there is no need to panic. This ban of institution is till March 31st. The government will review the situation in this gap and will decide on lifting this ban.

In the next two weeks or so the TRS government has planned to come up with awareness campaigns and educate people on being hygiene.

The corona virus has affected the budget sessions. For the next two days, the government will conduct the sessions and will sine die until further notice.

With this decision, Telangana has joined the likes of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal to impose restrictions on mass gatherings.
