Court Order: Prabhas Can Live In That Guest House Temporarily

The Hyderabad High Court today granted temporary relief for film actor Prabhas in the land case stating that he can continue to live in the guest house until a conclusion in the case is reached. A Division bench of the Hyderabad High Court, comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice P. Keshava Rao, gave the interim orders today after hearing out the arguments made by Prabhas’ counsel.

According to Prabhas’ counsel, the actor has been paying property tax as well as electricity bill and other charges related to the house regularly. “The interference of the state authorities on the land and seizing it without notice is therefore uncalled for,” he said. Hearing out the case, the Bench asked the state government to file a counter petition in the case before December 24th and postponed the next hearing to December 31, 2018. The Bench observed that Prabhas can continue living in the Guest House until a conclusion is reached in the case as it is set for a long haul.

The petition filed by Prabhas Raju challenged the action of the Ranga Reddy district Collector and officials in interfering with his land in Serilingampally mandal without prior notice. His land measuring 2,083 square yards in plot numbers 221, 222 and 223 at Raidurgam was taken in possession of the state authorities after the Telangana government won the case in Supreme Court.
