Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is having no sigh of relief in connection with the defamation case filed by Javed Akhtar. ‘Thalaivi’ actress Kangana Ranaut faced back-to-back shocks as the court had made its stand clear on the request placed by the actress before the court.
The additional chief metropolitan magistrate court in Mumbai that heard the petition filed by Kangana Ranaut to transfer the case from the Andheri metropolitan magistrate’s court to any other court said that there is no ground to accept the request of Kangana as the Magistrate Court had followed the procedure.
Reacting to the claims of Kangana Ranaut that the Magistrate is acting in a biased way against her, the metropolitan Judge ST Dande said the Magistrate acted judiciously and turned down the petition. The petition cannot be entertained and the case cannot be transferred, the judge said.
The court had refused to transfer the case to another court and the orders from the court on the same were released today. In the orders, the court said the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate followed the procedure abided by the law and for this reason, we cannot transfer the case.
Noted lyricist Javed Akhtar slapped Kangana Ranaut with a defamation case in 2020 saying that the actress had appeared in a TV show and made defamatory statements against him. She targeted me in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case unnecessarily, Javed Akhtar said in his complaint that was filed at the Andheri Court.
