COVID-19: How About Leaders Inspire From Kerala CM?

In the wake of corona outbreak spreading faster than expected, the whole world is actually taking preventive measures to make sure that the virus is contained. Especially India has done a fab job so far though the cases are going up by 15-20 every day in the last couple of days.

And what is being discussed here is, how politicians are handling the pandemic and assuring people about the measures being taken. While the likes of Telangana CM KCR and even PM Narendra Modi are doing very well so far, the problem is that they don’t meet with people daily to make sure that none gets tensed or go panicky. However, they have to look at how Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan is handling the calamity.

From the last one week, the Kerala Chief Minister comes before media every day exactly at 7 PM to give detailing about the coronavirus cases and how the state is handling them. His press meets last for 20 minutes and he appeals to people to not get panicky and explains how Kerala is winning the battle. Despite the fact that Kerala has no new cases in the last two days, he explained that the preventive actions will not be lowered at any cost.

If leaders interact with people through media in this way, surely many won’t get panicked and the mood will be quite upbeat. How about our leaders get inspired by Kerala CM?
