Numerous films were abruptly halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown back in March. Incidentally, film shootings resumed recently as Covid-19 cases across the globe showed a downward trend.
However, things have changed drastically over the past few days. Mutant coronavirus, a new strain of the virus was discovered recently and it is found to be highly contagious. So, many countries are planning to impose strict lockdowns and curfews with the potential second wave in mind.
These latest developments are showing a direct effect on Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Deverakonda’s Fighter.
The next schedule of Fighter was planned in USA but that will not be possible due to the above-mentioned reason. Sadly for the movie unit, they cannot plan the schedule in any other location either as it is being said that various countries might be halting flight services and impose a lockdown to avoid second wave of Covid-19.
With over half the portion of Fighter left to be shot, the latest news regarding Covid-19 pandemic can only be a disappointing one for the unit as they will have to postpone shoot indefenitely.
It needs to be said that the Covid-19 pandemic is leaving Puri Jagannadh quite worried and understandably so.
