Not less than 15,940 new infections caused by Covid were reported in the past 24 hours in India. The fresh cases are the highest single-day cases in the past four months. Besides this, India saw more than 12,000 cases for the third consecutive day, raising many fears about the virus’s spread.
Despite the fresh cases coming down compared to yesterday, it is a big concern that the cases are going up by more than 10,000 cases every day for the past few days. As experts say that the virus spreads rapidly in the winter season and rainy season, it is the right time that we should start following the restrictions seriously.
After a long time, the active cases in India went above the 91,000-mark. The data shared by the Union Health Ministry said the active cases in the country went to 91,779, while the total number of infections rose to a whopping 4,33,78,234. India is one of the severely hit nations by the Covid outbreak.
Talking about the recoveries, 12,425 people have managed to beat the virus in the past 24 hours, which takes the total number of recoveries to 4,27,61,481. The majority of the Covid patients were declared cured of the virus and so far 1.21 percent of Covid patients breathed their last while fighting the deadly virus.
The government has urged the people to not take the virus for granted and start following the guidelines seriously. It is in our hands now. If we don’t follow the guidelines, we might see another deadly wave, the fourth wave of the Covid virus.
The second and third waves of the Covid virus are man-made as people let their Covid guard down after beating the first Covid wave. This led to a disaster and we saw thousands of fresh cases daily.
Keeping it in simple terms, we can decide now if we want to travel with the Covid virus or see the pandemic leaving us. Following the Covid guidelines and protocols is the only way to beat the virus. With the Covid vaccination drive going on at a rapid pace, the Covid guidelines will come in handy.
