Director Sekhar Kammula has ignited excitement amongst cinephiles with the momentous unveiling of his upcoming film’s title – “Kubera.” This highly anticipated project marks a collaborative effort between Kammula and the exceptionally talented actor Dhanush. The grand title reveal, accompanied by the film’s captivating first-look poster, took place on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri.
The title “Kubera” holds significant meaning, as it references the Hindu god of wealth. However, the first-look poster presents a stark contrast to the film’s title. Dhanush is depicted in a disheveled appearance, sporting worn-out clothes, and standing before an image portraying Lord Shiva receiving alms from Goddess Annapurna.
This intriguing visual juxtaposition sparks curiosity and hints at the central character’s potential journey. It suggests a narrative that delves deeper than the mere pursuit of material wealth, promising a captivating exploration of multifaceted themes.
The project boasts an impressive team behind the scenes. Veteran actor King Nagarjuna Akkineni adds further weight to the cast. The renowned music director Devi Sri Prasad will compose the film’s soundtrack, while the leading lady role is entrusted to the popular actress Rashmika Mandanna. Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao are at the helm of production.
