Did Atlee Cleverly Lift Hit Film Stories For ‘Jawan’?

Atlee is one of the most successful directors in Kollywood. He makes well-packaged films that has solid storylines as well as huge elevations to make the fans go crazy. He mastered the art of finding the perfect balance between these two. But there is a big complaint on this young director. Many say that he lifts stories from old Tamil movies and carefully makes changes in them which are according to the current trend.

After looking at the trailer of ‘Jawan’, people were amazed by the grandeur and heroic moments of Shah Rukh Khan. But the story was not made clear by the makers till date but the glimpses shown in the trailer is making the Tamil movie experts predict that Atlee got inspired by Kamal Hassan’s film which is dubbed as ‘Khaidi Veta’ in Telugu.

As per the trailer, ‘Jawan’ is the story of a father and son. While the father is out for revenge, son is a police officer who tries to stop him. In Kamal’s movie, hero kidnaps Sridevi in order to get revenge on the people who wronged him. In ‘Jawan’, it is clear that Shah Rukh and gang hijack the train and lists out his demands to people. While the father is a normal man in Kamal’s film, old SRK was shown as an army man in ‘Jawan’. These are some of the changes Atlee made in order to increase the scale and magnitude of the film.

Atlee is known for his scale and grandeur which are quite visible in the trailer. Ilayaraja’s music was a big plus in the Kamal Hassan film while Anirudh seems to have delivered his magic. While the action overload is a bit of a problem for a few, the grand pre-release event in Chennai and the promotions have generated a lot of hype on this movie.
