Dil Raju’s Rs. 50 Cr offer tempted Pawan Kalyan to make a re-entry as an actor.
Pawan just needs to work under thirty days to grab Rs. 50 Cr, an offer he couldn’t say no to. Hence, Pawan started working on the Telugu remake of Pink ahead of all other commitments.
Dil Raju believes this remake will be a huge box office success as Pawan is making a comeback after two years and with an image makeover (he plays a middle-aged lawyer).
But timing the release is key for this remake which has a very serious theme (sexual violence against women).
It should come out in the best season to make the most at the box office. Therefore, Dil Raju is planning to release this film in May as there are no other big releases lined up for this Summer.
Almost ninety percent of the films in April and May are either mid-budget films or low budget small films. It will be the only film with a tier 1 hero as the lead.
It is a great release strategy if it goes as per Dil Raju’s plan. But a lot will depend upon how many days does Pawan allot in the next three months to finish the filming and post production.
