Within a few hours, Natural Star Nani’s pan-Indian flick ‘Dasara’ will be on the big screens. The team worked very hard on the film and the promotional content was highly impressive. Nani, Keerthy Suresh, director Srikanth Odela and others promoted the film heavily all across the nation and the pre-release business of this movie is quite fantastic.
Nani even said that Srikanth Odela is going to be the next big thing in Tollywood. The movie generated a huge buzz ever since the first poster came out. We can see Nani sitting in front of a huge Silk Smitha poster. The late actress was seen in the trailer as well and it looked like the director had a lot of love towards her.
During an interview, Keerthy Suresh asked the director about his obsession with Silk Smitha. Srikanth revealed that he first saw Silk Smitha’s poster at a toddy shop when he went there to bring a toddy for his grandfather’s broken leg. He used to work in the Singareni mines and Srikanth as a kid was reportedly stunned by her.
At that time, Srikanth did not know that she was an actress but got attracted to her. He went to the shop just to look at her poster and it is what made him include her poster in ‘Dasara’. It looks like the director incorporated his childhood memories and nostalgic moments into the movie too.
‘Dasara’ is a rustic rural drama that revolves around socioeconomic conditions, ambitions and politics in the coalfields. Sudhakar Cherukuri produced this movie while Santosh Narayanan is the music composer.
