Senior Congress leader and former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh was rushed to the New Delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) earlier this week. The veteran politician was admitted to the hospital after he faced weakness for two days.
The News Agency ANI said that Manmohan Singh was diagnosed with dengue and said his health is improving gradually. He is out of danger and his platelets are increasing gradually, the agency said while quoting a few officials at the AIIMS.
A dedicated team of doctors including noted cardiologist Nitish Nayak was assigned the work of attending Manmohan Singh. He is doing fine and his condition is fine now, the doctors reportedly told the news agency.
Manmohan Singh was rushed to the AIIMS on Wednesday after he complained of weakness and fever. The Congress party had earlier said, there is nothing to worry about his health and he is doing fine now.
Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya paid a visit to Manmohan Singh at AIIMS on Friday. He said Mr. Singh is doing well now and he visited the medical facility to inquire about his health.
