Actress Ramya, aka Divya Spandana, a noted face in the southern industry had forayed into politics and tried her luck. She joined the Karnataka wing of Congress in 2012 and won as MP from the Mandya constituency in 2013.
Later, she took charge as the head of the Social Media wing of the party. However, she surprised everyone by leaving the post and began to keep her distance from the party activities all of a sudden and no one knows the reason for this.
Talking about her distance with the party, the actress said, with one mistake she had committed, she became distant from the Congress party. However, the actress-turned-politician didn’t reveal many details on the mistake she made.
Though there is no official confirmation, media reports claimed that Divya Spandana mentioned about the infamous pictures of Rahul Gandhi from a popular museum in Berlin that took the social media like a storm.
These pictures were shared by the Congress party’s social media wing in 2018 before the 2019 general elections and the saffron party BJP had pushed the pictures trolling the Gandhi scion.
