Dull Period at Overseas Market Continues

The collections and over all mood in Tollywood is dull. Except Sharwanand’s blockbuster “Mahanubhavudu”, no film has brought any audience to the theaters during the last week.

The theater owners in Telugu states are praising Sharwanand and director Maruthi for uplifting the mood to some extent.

The situation in Overseas market is worse.

In USA, even “Jai Lava Kusa”, “Spyder” and “Mahanubhavudu” didn’t set cash registers ringing.

Though “Jai Lava Kusa” has turned out to be an average grosser, it didn’t bring any smiles to the buyers.

“Spyder” left the distributors in huge losses. After raking in half million dollars, “Mahanubhavudu” has slowed down. While Sharwanad’s movie has set domestic box-office on fire, it has just reached the break-even stage in USA.

The cumulative gross of “Mahanubhavudu” now stands with about 700k dollars. Both “Jai Lava Kusa” and “Spyder” have almost ended their run with the gross of 1.55 and 1.53 million dollars respectively.
