Actress Gehana Vasisth, originally Vandana Tiwari, most popular for being seen in Ekta Kapoor‘s webseries Gandi Baat, has been arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police today, after they had been tipped off about the actress’s involvement in the shooting and uploading of pornographic videos. The actress first came to light when she suffered and recovered from a massive cardiac arrest in 2019. Apart from Gandi Baat, Gehana has also worked in other shows like ‘Luckhnowi Ishq’, ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai’ and others. She first came into the spotlight in 2012 after winning Miss Asia Bikini contest.
The actress will be presented before a court today, and several other actresses and models have also been arrested in relation to the issue. The raid was conducted by the Police department at Madh Island, after they had received confirmed information about the activities going on in a bungalow, where body trade and shooting and uploading of pornographic films was taking place, under the guise of film shooting. Several victims who were forced to be part of these pornographic films have also complained to the Police about the same.
It has now come to light that several jobless people were taken advantage of, by forcing them into doing these kind of films, and luring them to do more odd scenes, with huge paychecks. Two girls who have been rescued by the police have been sent to a rehabilitation center.
