NTR is turning out to be the latest king of the overseas market among Telugu heroes. His latest release Jai Lava Kusa also grossed $1.5 Million in US, in spite of average reviews.
This is Tarak’s third film in a row to surpass this mark and he is the only Telugu hero to achieve this feat.
Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan used to be the Kings of overseas market, but the consistency of Tarak is remarkable.
He has gone from strength to strength in this market and today he doesn’t even need a star director or positive reviews to rake in big numbers.
Tarak’s dominance at overseas box office started with Temper and is continuing with each film. His market and acceptance has grown manifold as he is making interesting choices with his script selection.
Tarak is looking to balance his image by catering to mass and class audience at the same time. Though there is still a long way to go for Jai Lava Kusa to breakeven in overseas, grossing $1.5 Million isn’t a mean feat with average reviews and mixed talk.
