The Samajwadi party is very confident on the next assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh after a humiliating defeat by the BJP-led NDA alliance five years ago. Interestingly, it’s president Akhilesh Yadav clarified that his party will win 350 out of 403 seats even though he party was permitted to 47 seats with 21.8 percent votes in 2017 assembly elections.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said a palm reader had recently predicted that he will win 350 of the 403 seats in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections and asserted that if voted to power, his government will hold a caste-wise census. This is very strange from this former Chief Minster who believes an astrologer more than his own party.
Earlier the Telangana Chief Minster and AP Chief minster Jagan Mohan Reddy met some Swamijis and astrologers for their blessings on behalf of God and it seems like Akhilesh Yadav followed the footsteps of these successful politicians.
In the 2017 Assembly polls, the BJP-led NDA won 325 seats with 48.7 per cent votes, the SP won 47 seats with 21.8 per cent votes and the Bahujan Samaj Party won 19 seats with 22.2 per cent votes. Let’s see if Akhilesh’s astrologer’s saying comes true or not.
