Ex Pakistan Player Sees Daughter Waving Indian Flag Casually!

Even after the commencement of the much-awaited Asia Cup, the intensity around the tournament is not over yet. After the final match, Cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir held the Sri Lanka flag at the stadium. This grabbed everyone’s attention as many asked how an Indian former player can hold the flag of another nation.

In one such intense moment, a former Pakistan cricketer’s daughter was reportedly spotted waving an Indian flag on the ground. This became a topic of discussion for many. This happened during the high-intense match played between arch-rivals India and Pakistan.

During the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup India and Pakistan locked horns with each other. In the edge-of-the-seat corner match, Pakistan defeated India by five wickets. More than Pakistan’s wild celebrations, former cricketer Shahid Afridi’s daughter waving the Indian flag grabbed everyone’s attention.

After the debate getting momentum, Shahid Afridi addressed the issue and said that his daughter waived the Indian flag. Talking about the incident Afridi said that there were no Pakistan flags available and with that, his daughter waived the Indian flag.

He even said that his wife was also present when his daughter waived the Indian Flag and he received the video of his daughter waving the flag. Having said that, the former Pakistan captain observed that he did not share the video as he was unable to decide if he can share the video online or not.

“My wife told me that there were barely 10% Pakistani fans in the stadium and the rest were Indian fans. Pakistani flags were not available there so my younger daughter was waving the Indian flag. I received the video, but I was unsure about whether to share it online or not”, Shahid Afridi said speaking to a Pakistan Tv channel.

Looking at the comments Shahid Afridi made about his daughter with the Indian national flag, he is viewing it as a casual thing and he is not giving too much importance to the incident that happened. The former cricketer also said that there are no bad intentions in waving the Indian flag. As there were no Pakistan flags available there, she had to waive the Indian flag.
