From a couple of days, the news around #BIggBoss reality show has taken centre stage in Tollywood though the fact remains the same that last year’s #BiggBoss3 has started only in mid-July. Even this year, the makers of this program are not in a mood to rush despite some social media trendings that Bigg Boss show should start right away as most people are staying home due to Corona outbreak.
Even though the proposed date for #BiggBoss4 Telugu version is three months away, usually the producers of the show start consulting various probable contestants and sign agreements. However, it is being heard from exclusive sources that the work of Bigg Boss Telugu is not going to begin anytime soon as the company Endemol Shine is not interested in taking a risk.
Firstly, the ongoing BiggBoss2 Malayalam hosted by Mohanlal is called off in the middle with the last episode of the show being aired tonight (Mar 20). The show started on Jan 5th this year and ran for 75 days, but with COVID-19 outbreak they have no other option than to suspend the show. As per the government directives, the makers should not be risking the lives of others to make TV shows and films.
It is not just the contestants, but the number of cameraman, editing team, support staff includes more than 100 people working in the backend to get this show running. Now that the Malayalam version is suspended, the makers are said to have clarified that all the operations regarding next editions of Bigg Boss in other languages will begin only after Corona outbreak supersedes.
So until corona gets controlled, there will be no way #BiggBoss4 related work starts in Tollywood as well.
