It was speculated that 3 of megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming projects would be formally announced yesterday, which marked his 65th birthday. But that wasn’t to be as Chiranjeevi decided against it.
Going into the story, Chiranjeevi is set to work on the Telugu remake of Lucifer and Konidela Productions hold the remake rights of the film. The script work of the film is yet to be completed though. Also, Chiranjeevi liked the subject that was narrated by Bobby and this project might conceptualize in the near future.
Apart from these two projects, Chiru is also in talks with a young director. There were plans to formally announce these three projects yesterday on the occasion of Chiru’s birthday.
However, Chiranjeevi felt this is not the right time to announce three consecutive projects, given the uncertainty in theatrical business. Adding further, there is no clarity on when film shootings will resume. As a matter of fact, even Chiranjeevi’s ongoing film Acharya is yet to wrap up shoot. There is no point in announcing three films now.
With uncertainty blooming over the Telugu film industry, Chiranjeevi felt it wouldn’t be right for him to announce three projects. He will be assessing the situation on a regular basis and take up his future projects accordingly.
